Wren was standing in my room. Wren, perfect fucking Wren, was staring at Savannah and Avery with a shrewd expression. Both girls were sprawled across my bed in nothing but knee-high socks and very, very small boy short panties. They’d ditched my t-shirts and moved onto half-naked cuddles under the glow of my PC’s LED lights. It was obvious they were eagerly awaiting me to get home and find them like this. Wren was tapping her foot in a strange rhythm with her arms crossed over her chest. A chest I had a sinking feeling I wouldn’t be seeing again anytime soon.

“H-Hey,” I stammered out stupidly.

“Hi, baby!” Avery said, beaming up at me from the bed with a million-dollar smile.

“Baby, huh?” Wren said with a wry look.

“I can totally explain,” I rushed to say.

“So this isn’t what it looks like?” She countered back.

“No,” I winced, my shoulders sagging with defeat. “It totally is. But please don’t think this means I like you any less.”

“Relax,” she said, chewing on her lip. “We aren’t even technically a couple yet, but...”

Avery and Savannah looked from Wren, then back to me with matching curious expressions, and I could tell they wanted the full story on their potential new playmate. All the jealousy I’d previously seen from Avery about Savannah had vanished, leaving nothing but excitement in its wake.

“You’re acquiring quite the harem, hotshot,” Savannah said with a snarky little giggle. “Who knew you had it in you?”

Avery giggled in response as she ran her hands through Savannah’s glossy hair. “She’s kinda scary, but it could be sort of fun.”

Wren looked over at Savannah and Avery warily, then sighed exasperatedly. “Dude, give it to me straight,” she gestured toward the girls. “What’s with the sex slaves? Are they on ecstasy or something? MDMA? Judging by the trash bags piled up along your curb, you had a hell of a party here recently.” Her features darkened a bit. “I’m guessing you forgot to invite me to that one.”

I blanched, and my mind went completely blank. How the hell was I supposed to explain this without charming her? I didn’t exactly want Wren to be as eager-to-please as the other girls, especially because I really liked her fire and the way she’d bossed me around a bit. If she lost all her weirdness, she wouldn’t be quite as hot, and even though I’d told Savannah and Avery to cool it a little on the Barbara Eden/ I Dream of Jeannie schtick, they were still obedient little pets.

Here goes nothing.

“I have, uh, magic powers?” I said with a wince.

“Is that a question?” Wren laughed, cocking her head to the side. “Or do you actually have magic powers?”

I let out a heavy sigh. “Listen, I know this sounds insane, but I can influence people to do what I want.” Her eyes widened, and I charged forward, trying to do some damage control. “But I seriously didn’t use it on you the other night. I... I used it at the bar and stuff, for drinks.
